About Us

4C Child Care Unlimited was established in 1970 in response to community concerns about child care. The agency was the first 4C program in the State of Michigan and one of the original 18 4C programs in the nation. It is now a part of a state-wide network of 15 regional offices with links to local, state and national child care resource and referral groups.

4C Child Care Unlimited is a child care resource, referral, training and child care advocacy agency. We provide referrals to licensed child care for parents and families, child care providers and early childhood professionals. We participate in over 50 community agencies, task forces, committees, and boards throughout the community on behalf of young children and families, providing technical assistance on child care issues, licensing requirements for child care providers, and offering general assistance as advocates for children and families.

Our community outreach includes a number of special events throughout the Child painting year, including the Annual 4C Children’s Services Fair, Kaleidoscope, and the 4C Child Care Advocacy Awards. 4C Child Care Unlimited has a long history of sponsoring community events for young children and families and child care professionals in Genesee County. Our events are known for bringing quality artists and performers into the community for free musical concerts and other special events.

The mission of 4C Child Care Unlimited is to promote early childhood education for all children by providing information, support and program development.
